Social Links to Shopify Blog Broken! (and Linkinbio)

Hello!

I post news via my store’s blog to drive traffic to our store. Unfortunately, when people try clicking on the link on social media (Instagram & Linkinbio and Facebook), they either get an error message or the screen perpetually loads.

Further clarity: we haven’t used any kind of special sharing button. We’re manually copying & pasting the URL to our Linkinbio and IG stories.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, what did you do to resolve it?

I understand that your customers are having issues viewing your store’s blog when you link the page through your social media. It’s possible that these links were mistakenly blocked by some specific Internet Service Providers or by the social platforms themselves. When sharing a link on Social Media, I always suggest using Linkpop. Doing so allows you to create an online landing page for your business, that you can customize with shoppable product links and links to all your online content. You can set it up and connect it to your store by following this page here.

Thanks Mac but that’s not going to work. The links themselves, beyond linkinbio, have stopped working. What can I do to fix it?

I’d love to but unfortunately Shopify doesn’t allow me to upload JPGs on here. All I can tell you is there is an error message coming from the store saying “something went wrong!” upon page load.

I’m sorry to hear that you weren’t able to upload your screenshot. Can you try copying and pasting the image directly to this text field? You can also share it as a .zip file if you are still having issues.
