Is it possible to have Social login for New Customers Accounts (and how, I haven’t found such an application)?

Namely, it seems to me that primarily due to Shopify’s concept of sending a code (also when creating an account), it is technically not possible, although on the other hand it is quite stupid to force customers to ask for an email code every time.

Yes, but only if you’re using the Classic Customer Accounts system.

Now how will you do that here are steps:

Switch to Classic Customer Accounts
→ Go to Settings > Customer accounts, select “Classic customer accounts”.

Install “One Click Social Login” by DevCloud
→ Supports Google, Facebook, Apple, etc.
→ Clean design, easy setup, reliable.

Works well with most themes, including Dawn.
Not compatible with New Customer Accounts.

Yes, you are correct, I did read your post. Regarding your inquiry about the availability of social login for New Customer Accounts, I would like to clarify that this functionality is not supported.

Currently, all logins for New Customer Accounts are required to utilize the Shopify-hosted email-code flow. It is not possible for apps to integrate social login options such as Google, Facebook, or Apple buttons within this system.

If the implementation of social login is a necessity, your alternative would be to transition to Classic Customer Accounts, which can be accessed through the following path in your Shopify admin: Settings > Customer accounts > Use classic customer accounts. Subsequently, you would be able to integrate a social login application, such as One Click Social Login.

By any chance, would there be a Sign in with Apple coming soon? We are in urgent need of it.

Yes, you can. Shopify allows customers to log in using Google and Facebook instead of using an email code every time, but you cannot remove the email code completely. There are few steps to set it up:

1. Go to Shopify Admin—Settings—Customer account.

2. But make sure you are using new customer accounts.

3. You will see the option to connect Google and connect Facebook.

4. It will guide you to create a Google and Facebook app and paste that info back into Shopify.

5. Save the changes.

6. Now you can store the login page that shows buttons for Google and Facebook.
