Newly created barcodes are unrecognizable by scanner. Previous created barcodes are scanned without an issue. Would this have anything to do with upgrade of Shopify?

Hi, @Cool5 !

Thank you so much for reaching out to our network.

I shared your issue with our Retail Support team and they were able to confirm this is not a known or emerging issue related to any recent updates. What they did recommend, however, was that you do an account reset on the POS app. For your convenience, I will list these steps our per device below:

POS for Apple

  1. Navigate to your iOS settings
  2. Tap the Shopify POS app
  3. Toggle Reset Account button
  4. Force close the app
  5. Re-open the app

POS for Android (instructions may vary based on device)

  1. Navigate to the Android Settings app
  2. Tap Apps > Shopify POS app
  3. Then, tap Storage, then Clear Data and Clear Cache if that option is available
  4. Force close the app
  5. Open and log back in as normal

We trust that will do the trick, but please keep us posted.

Warm regards,
