Newly created barcodes are unrecognizable by scanner. Previous created barcodes are scanned without an issue. Would this have anything to do with upgrade of Shopify?

- Android: Settings > Apps > Shopify POS > Storage > Clear Data and Clear Cache (if available); force close; open and log in.

I shared your issue with our Retail Support team and they were able to confirm this is not a known or emerging issue related to any recent updates. What they did recommend, however, was that you do an account reset on the POS app. For your convenience, I will list these steps our per device below:
POS for Apple
- Navigate to your iOS settings
- Tap the Shopify POS app
- Toggle Reset Account button
- Force close the app
- Re-open the app
POS for Android (instructions may vary based on device)
- Navigate to the Android Settings app
- Tap Apps > Shopify POS app
- Then, tap Storage, then Clear Data and Clear Cache if that option is available
- Force close the app
- Open and log back in as normal
