I didn’t like the ‘sold out’ and ‘sale’ badges all over the collection and product pages so I added this code to my theme.liquid:
However, I would now like to showcase NEW and Bestseller badges and don’t mind re-adding the sale ones too. So I need to update the code to allow me to:
- Add a NEW badge by tagging a product
- Add a Bestseller badge by tagging a product
- Still use Sale badges
- Keep ‘sold out’ badges off
- Keep sale off the product page
This is what the sale badge was doing to my product page before:

Hi @Franrulzok this is an advanced theme customization unless a theme already has a system for custom badges in the specific way you want to use tags instead of metafields.
For some themes there may be existing forum conversations to research, if a specific theme can’t be found also try looking at different theme names made by the same developer as there may be architectural similarities.

You may consider using a 3rd party app like Product Labels & Badges to enhance custom badges. You can customize colors, positions, and display pages according to your preferences.
