We are setting up a Shopify Plus store for a B2B client and the companies registered at this client have a fairly standard B2B setup.
Each company has a single Sold-to address, a single Bill-to address and a number of Ship-to addresses.
We are planning to add a number of “company locations” in Shopify to each “company” - one fore each Ship-to address. On each of these “company locations” we will add a unique Shipping address and the same Billing address for each.
Our concern is where to add the single Sold-to address.
We are thinking of adding the Sold-to address to the “company” as metadata fields. However there is no address type metafield, so we would need to create our own static address model, which seems a bit wrong.
Another option could be to add an extra “company location”, placing the Sold-to address in the Billing address, but that seems even more wrong ![]()
Any ideas or experience on how to solve this would be appreciated!
