Some tips to increase sessions and Design Feedback?

Hi everybody, I sell wooden and bamboo sunglasses. I’ve been using Shopify for a couple months now. However, I only get less than 5-10 sessions per day and no sales for my online store which is linked below. I am trying to get visitors primarily by organically marketing the products on social media. I was wondering if anybody would give me any sort of store/business feedback to drive more sessions and ultimately boost sales and conversion rate. Thanks!

Hi @Sunglasses26 ,

This is Kate from PageFly, - Shopify Landing Page Builder App.

I really like the elegant design of the page. It’s easy to navigate and I can quickly find the information I’m looking for. From my CRO expertise, I have some feedback for your store and hope that they can help you increase UX UI:

1. Improve your hero banner

  • Change background image: Instead of using images with much clutter, you should choose a simple background which could help you highlight your title and what you are selling. The background could include one single object with one color background.

  • Change CTA button color: Use contrasting colors to your background image such as white can help your CTA button be more visible, thereby attracting more clicks from visitors.

2. Align your product list

I’ve noticed that your product list does not align well and that could cause unprofessionalism in visitors’ eyes. This also has an effect on buying decisions after all. Therefore, you should adjust this as soon as possible.

3. Use two contrasting colors for sections

On your homepage, you’ll have numerous sections to showcase. However, not every section will contain equally crucial information that you want to convey. Therefore, I recommend using a contrast approach to highlight the important sections with darker colors and using lighter colors for less critical ones. You can take several sample design templates into consideration:

4. Add customer testimonial

Testimonials or ratings always play an important role in building trust with your customers. I bet that your customers will be more trusted when seeing this and no more hesitation to click buy one.

5. Prepare for holiday seasons

This time is suitable for you to prepare for the upcoming shopping events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday (BFCM), Christmas, and New Year’s. Plan ahead, and you’ll likely see positive campaign results. Here are a few recommendations to consider:

  • Create festive themed website design: Update your website with a festive theme that reflects the holiday spirit. Add seasonal graphics, banners, and colors to create an inviting and celebratory atmosphere for visitors.
  • Offer exclusive holiday promotions, discounts, or special deals to entice customers: you can offer time-limited flash sales on select products to create a sense of urgency or discount 10-15% for visitors buying during holiday seasons.

  • Run a holiday campaign: you encourage customers to buy items for themselves and give a similar item to a loved one. Consider naming this campaign Share the Happiness: Buy One, Get One’ or 'Double the Delight: Shop & Share for some engaging options.

I hope you find these suggestions helpful for optimizing your website’s conversion rate. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out. Wishing you all the best with your online venture!
