I have the replay app installed where I can see customer activity. Somone on my page was using this tool shown below and essentially copying the information on the product page from my 3rd party app. They essentially added a new section for each variant option in this tool and then click on that section in my site and it copied the information. They did this on more than one product page. I saw they had an option to copy to clipboard. Any ideas what it is?
Could be someone copying the store data for a competitor, or a copycat site.
If you have a unique offering now is the time to engage a lawyer for IP protection processes and start researching DMCA.
Or less malignant just someone testing the store or validating data for some other service, such as if your connected to a marketplace/dropshipper or have vendor/supplier contracts in place that dictate merchandising rules.
or could even be the app devs themselves sample testing merchant stores to verify app behavior for quality assurance.
If this recording correlates with products you recently had app problems with, that you also discussed with their support that’s a clue on who to follow up with.
