I’ve found my shoppers making multiple orders over a week and having to pay full postage on each. So I was wondering if there’s a way for customers to add to/edit their orders? I’m going to assume this isn’t a native feature of Shopify since all my searches just tell me how I, the store owner, can edit a customer’s orders. I don’t want to do that all the time. I only fulfill on the weekends, so there should be plenty of time for order edits.
They can add to their orders using a checkout upsell type of app. I don’t believe there’s a way for them to be able to edit or add their orders otherwise, I’ve never seen that type of situation.
It sounds improving the customer communication would solve this problem. For example in the product page and / or cart page, let them know that you only ship weekends, and that postage is page each time, etc… just let them know what to expect so there are no surprises.
I am a Shopify app developer and was wondering about you situation. Are you looking for a way to allow your customers to access and add and remove items from their order after they’ve paid for the order?
If so, would you pay for an app to give your customers this kind of access?
