'Sort By' Option Shows 'Alphabetic a-z' By Default, I Need To Change It To 'Date, New to Old'

Hello,

I want to sort the products from ‘‘Alphabetic a-z’’ to ‘‘Date, New to Old’’, and this to be the default. I want to do to all products, to all collections in a slide at homepage. Can somebody help me? Thank You!

You can change the default order for collections by going to your collection in the shopify admin and then changing the sort by field. (see image)
