I set up a marketing automation which sent an email to a new subscriber, after adding a tag and a metadata single line text to their customer account. This was done in January 2023. Since (it would appear) about mid Feb 2023 we have been plagued with false spam customers. Please see image attached. This issue was only noticed in the 4th April 2023. My store had 400+ false gobbledigook named customers but with real emails. It appears we are getting about 12 to 18 false customers a day. I have manually deleted them all. I changed the way the pop up worked to direct people to another page to join the subscriber list from there. ReCaptcha is turned on and working. That appeared to work, but alas upon checking today they are back. I note similar topics to mine and I read the approved ‘Solved’ response which was to alert Shopify with a new topic. I have read further comments in many community replies but it seems none of them are working.
