I’m currently facing a spam issue. I’ve created a custom newsletter pop-up form that uses an API key to store data on a third-party platform. I’ve tried almost every available app on the Shopify marketplace for spam protection, including Google reCAPTCHA v3, and implemented all other possible measures.
I even contacted Shopify support, and they confirmed that, at the moment, there is no effective solution available—neither from Shopify itself nor from any app in the marketplace.

Yes this can be an annoying issue.
Shopify offers Bot Protection at the Plus level, but even then you cannot activate it for 24/7 continuous coverage. Only for limited ranges of time.
The captcha is a good start, but just curious - besides some false positive emails, what’s the harm to your business?
Is the problem that these email addresses are harvesting discount codes? Or just that your emails are bouncing?
If the main issue is the latter, why not use an email filtering API to make sure the email is legitimate before starting any automated drip sequence?
