Special Characters - Māori Macrons suddenly not recognised

We have an app installed Cin7 Omni that is our inventory system speaking to Shopify and in the last month it is now not recognising our Māori macrons that we need to use here in New Zealand.
Here is an example of a product that worked a few months back:

And just recently this has stopped working, in headings and descriptions it replaces the macron (ā) with a question mark (?) an example:

It seems there is an error with the way that Shopify is receiving and displaying this data as the correct html data is being sent from cin7 Omni.
How can I solve this issue?

I have the same issue! But Shopify is replacing bullet points (•) with question marks (?).

Hey Perks, Did you ever get a solution to this? We are still having issues and now apostrophes i.e. ‘hello’ are being replaced with question marks too ?hello?
Let me know, I have escalated the case with Cin7 too so I’ll let you know how we get on there…
