i have a heavy product so when the order has 4+ items, I need to use an additional box but I only have 1 shipping label from Shopify. How do I get Shopify to give me 2+ labels and put the shipping funds from the customer on each label?
Otherwise, one box will have all the shipping funds on it and there’s no shipping funds for the other boxes. Splitting the order I can do but how do I divide the shipping funds ???
I can make a weight rule but that still does not divide the shipping funds over multiple boxes. How do I divide the shipping funds over multiple boxes? Now, Shopify makes only 1 label that has all the funds and the other boxes get nothing so I have to pay for that shipping. I don’t want to do that when the customer already paid for shipping on the 1 label.
@drinksHelpPls7 Awesome question.
There are no “shipping funds” per say. Anything you collect at Checkout is paid out to you, then you are buying each label and being invoiced for them seperately. That means you don’t need to worry too much about the link between what your buyer paid and how the label is purchased.
How to ship multiple boxes for one order:
-
Go to the order and click Create shipping label
-
In the Items section, change the quantity to only include what’s going in Box 1
-
Buy that label
-
The remaining items will still show as “Unfulfilled”
-
Create another shipping label for Box 2
Each package gets its own label and tracking number.
I hope that helps!
Can I test this? Where is the Shopify test order mode?
