Everyone knows that spocket.co has been scamming thousands of customers for years and continues to do so. It’s become tiresome.
The important question is why doesn’t Shopify warn against these scammers? Why hasn’t it banned them and taken legal action against them? spocket is scamming people under the guise of providing services to Shopify.
The funny thing is, they have an account here and they answer questions.
Seems like there is a lot of blurring of terms going on. Merchants aren’t consumers.
The only consumers being scammed are the ones who buy the products from the supposed merchants.
If you’re talking about the merchants getting scammed, well… merchants who scam customers by falsely claiming “these are definitely my products, trust me look at this fake review widget” don’t really have any room to complain.
A better strategy to build a sustainable business is to use Shopify collective app, so you can build true relationships and ensure delivery for your customers. App integrations with Alibaba, which is itself a third party platform, might not always provide a valid supplier relationship.
@Mohanad_esell … Recommend to connect with Spocket support team, and if you still have a problem, then you can share your concern with the Shopify support team with related docs and communication details.
At this point, if this many people are complaining about the same issue over and over, then something is clearly wrong. New store owners trust apps listed around the Shopify ecosystem, so there should be stricter checks on platforms getting repeated refund and billing complaints.
People also need to research properly before paying for any service, but Shopify should definitely pay more attention when an app keeps getting called out by merchants consistently.
I’m not talking about shipping.
After you subscribe to the trial period, the platform activates your subscription without your consent. Then, when you try to cancel the subscription or even delete your account, you get these error buttons.
Go to their profile on X.com and you’ll find that everyone in the mentions is complaining about the same problem.
So the question is biased or based only the scam happened to you or did they cammed you.
the dropshipping supplier space is rough. a lot of the “premium supplier” platforms overpromise and underdeliver on shipping times, product quality, and inventory accuracy. the core issue is that you’re adding a middleman between you and manufacturing, and every layer adds risk and cost.
if you’re serious about building a real brand, the move is eventually getting away from blind dropshipping entirely. start with dropshipping to validate demand, but as soon as you have a few winning products, negotiate directly with the manufacturer for bulk orders. the margins are better, you control quality, and you can actually offer consistent shipping. AliExpress and Spocket are fine for testing but terrible for building something customers come back to.
Go to their X account and read the complaints. If you don’t believe them and subscribe to conspiracy theories, I challenge you to try their $1 trial subscription.
After 7 days, you’ll enjoy the money withdrawn from your account.
I get the frustration with the trial billing. The auto-upgrade from a $1 trial is aggressive, and uninstalling the app from Shopify does not cancel the subscription. You have to cancel inside the Spocket billing dashboard and take a screenshot of the confirmation. I learned that the hard way too.
