I have products that are being used by athletes in the highest levels. I want to add a “Trusted by athletes in…” for my products, similar to the one in the photo. Is it legal to add logos of sports leagues to my website like this?

This is a good section to increase credibility of your store, but since you are uncertain about this why not include photos of actual celebrities who actually use your products.
Most of the times people tend to follow celebrities than the company and after all a celebrity is associated with a brand so you can hit two targets at once.
I know this wasn’t your question but just sharing an idea that popped up my mind
