SSL Pending - Google Merchant Center won't verify

Hi,

I have noticed that my SSL certificate is ‘pending’ for my site: antoapparel.com

I think this might be the reason why Google Merchant Center won’t verify my website.

Any help you could provide to get my SSL certificate approved would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Anto

Your SSL certificate has already been installed from my end, as I can see.

That’s good news. Thanks for checking this. Do you know how I can change the status in my dashboard from pending to approved? See below:

Hi @AntoApparel ,

Great question! When it reads “SSL Pending” it means the motion for the SSL certificate is in play and it should only be a matter of time. The reason this happens is because, when you add your custom domain, a new SSL certificate is automatically created. This process can take up to 48 hours.

There’s a helpful guide on SSL to help you understand a bit more about SSL certificates and how they work with Shopify! Also if you’d like someone from our support team take a look at your domain admin in real time too and double check everything is in order (it seems like it is from the screenshot though), don’t hesitate to reach out and log in here.

Thanks Nick, appreciate the prompt reply. The only issue is that the website has been up and running for months but the SSL certificate is still pending. Am I right in assuming that this is probably the reason why my website is not being verified by Google Merchant Center? Would love to have a member of your support team jump in and double check everything. I clicked on the link you provided and have submitted a request for someone to take a look. Hoping your team can fix the issue for us so we can finally get our Google ad campaign live.

Thanks,

Anto

Hi @AntoApparel ,

I took a look on the Google Merchant help center and it has a section on verifying the website but doesn’t say outwrite that it could be a reason.

You can see the help center page from Google here. Great to hear you’re reaching out to someone on our support team so you can look into it in real time with them.
