Another update here. I seemed to resolve the symptom by writing a new review for any of the affected products. This removed the erroneous star ratings. @Shopify_77 Maybe it would be good to address the root of the problem because I don’t think that copying review metadata when duplicating products …

We ended up switching over to Judge.me’s free plan, and haven’t had any issues. IIRC, the native Shopify Reviews app is now deprecated.
