I am just starting to build my Shopify site for drop shipping and I have been getting a multitude of varying responses when I ask about whether I have to register the site as a business, if it’s required to be an LLC not a Sole Proprietorship and whether I need a EIN even though it’s just me and right now it would be more of a side hustle than a full on business.
I have to wait for everything to open up from the blizzard before I can even call my state’s department of labor. How do I describe the drop shipping business to them so they understand what it is I am trying to do so they can give me the best advice?
any help would be nice I keep hearing from some that I am required to do an LLC and pile on a bunch of fees, licenses and more before I can even think about publishing the site.
