My webschop mireloe.com is in the air. Its a more high end home and living store in de niche of zero waste, faire made, sustaineble products. I bought a part of my inventory and the rest im dropshipping via Orderchamp. Therefore I have rules like I can not sell on amazon, bol.com, or other marketplaces. Im advertising on fb, inst, tiktok and you tube. If gone trough the google merchandising center etc. I get click to site but no conversion or put in shoppingbasket. What am I doing wrong? Its been a steep learning curbe building the website and making it so that I have iDEAL etc. Chat gpt wants to keep changing te same thing over and over so Im stuck.
I had a look at mireloe.com since you posted the link, and the thing that jumped out has nothing to do with your ads.
Your store has 173 products. 71 of them are dog accessories from one supplier, Cooper and Quint. 44 leashes and 17 collars. Meanwhile your own site description says you sell sustainable home decor, eco friendly gifts, felt flowers and zero waste vases. You have 9 felt flower products and 7 paper pulp vases.
So someone clicks a felt flower ad on Instagram, lands on a shop they have never heard of, starts looking around, and the biggest thing in it by a wide margin is dog leashes. That is a fine mix for a marketplace. For a first visit to an unknown brand it reads as a general dropship store rather than a curated one, and curated is exactly what your ad just promised. When the shop does not confirm the promise in the first ten seconds people leave without touching anything.
The other half is that you are treating four channels as one number. Cold TikTok and YouTube traffic adding nothing to the basket is normal, those people were not shopping, they got interrupted. Google Shopping is the opposite, they typed a product name before they saw you. If your Shopping clicks are also sitting at zero add to cart over a few hundred sessions then the store is the problem. If Shopping does convert and social does not, the store is fine and your creative is the issue. Right now you cannot tell which one you have, and the two need completely different fixes. Shopify has a sessions by referrer report in Analytics, put add to cart rate next to it and split the numbers before you change anything else.
Small thing I noticed while looking. Your vendor field has Soeji spelled two ways, 37 products as Soeji and 6 as soeji. That splits one brand into two entries anywhere brand gets used as a filter.
How many sessions a week are we actually talking about? Zero orders on 80 visits and zero on 2000 are very different problems, and only one of them means something is broken.
@Tamara_Slippens One thing to add to lumine’s catalog point: I checked one of your product pages (the LUHU rattan table) and there are no reviews or star ratings anywhere on it. For someone clicking a felt-flower ad and landing on a brand they’ve never heard of, that’s a second trust gap on top of the mixed catalog - nothing on the page confirms other people bought and liked it. A free app like Judge.me or Loox can start collecting reviews at no cost, and since you’re dropshipping via Orderchamp you may be able to import existing supplier reviews to get your first batch fast instead of waiting on your own orders. Fix the catalog framing lumine flagged first, but add reviews before you spend more on ads either way - at this price point shoppers won’t buy from an unknown brand on faith alone.
Getting clicks but no add-to-carts usually means the traffic is not matching the products or something on the product pages is stopping people from buying. I would check your product prices, shipping costs and delivery times first, especially with dropshipping. Also review the mobile checkout and product pages, then look at which products get clicks but no cart activity. That data should show where the problem is before spending more on ads.
Thank you for looking at my site and your answer. My store has collections. My soeji departement is also big i think. My problem is that i have a smal niche product search that puts me with onley those brands for the dropshipping. The flowers and vases i bought for own inventory, but my inventory budget is empty now. Do you thimk i have to narrow the dog leaches down? I wanted a full store.
I have the judge me app installeren but no sells so no review. You say i can import review? I will have to look in to that.
Google adds i have not run yet. Sombody told met to do socials.
I think the main thing is to look at where the traffic is coming from before changing the whole store. If people are clicking but not adding anything to the cart, I’d check the product pages, pricing, shipping costs and delivery times first.
I’d also take a close look at the mix of products. If the store is mainly positioned around sustainable home and living, having a lot of dog accessories could make the overall focus feel a bit unclear.
Since your budget is limited, I’d test a few changes at a time and see what actually improves the add-to-cart rate rather than changing everything at once.
