Hello, I’m experiencing an issue with my CJ Dropshipping products. I’ve selected items with high inventory and linked them to my e-commerce site. However, when I try to ‘add to cart’ or ‘pay in another way,’ I receive an ‘out of stock’ message. I ensured the inventory was sufficient and selected the China warehouse with regular shipping during listing. Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how to resolve it? Thank you.
Topic summary
A user is experiencing a stock synchronization problem between CJDropshipping and their Shopify store. Despite products showing high inventory levels (10,000+ units) on both platforms, customers receive ‘out of stock’ errors when attempting to add items to cart or checkout.
Key Details:
- Inventory is managed by CJ with sync enabled in Shopify authorization
- CJ shows inventory split as “CJ: 0, Factory: 10077” for products
- Shopify displays matching inventory numbers (e.g., 430,132 in stock)
- Shipping method: CJPacket Ordinary from China warehouse
- All Shopify inventory columns show correct availability (0 unavailable/committed, 10,000+ available/on hand)
Potential Issues Identified:
- Warehouse sync delays between platforms (CJ notes “several hours delay”)
- Possible mismatch in shipping method configuration
- Variant linking problems (size, color) between platforms
- E-commerce platform settings may be incorrectly limiting stock visibility
The issue remains unresolved despite troubleshooting attempts with AI tools.
1.Warehouse Sync Issue:
It’s possible that the inventory from your CJ Dropshipping account hasn’t synced properly with your e-commerce platform. You might want to check whether the warehouse information is correctly syncing.
2.Shipping Method Settings:
Ensure that the “China warehouse with regular shipping” option is configured properly. Sometimes, mismatches between shipping options and available stock could cause the “out of stock” error.
3.E-commerce Platform Inventory Check:
There might be a setting in your e-commerce platform that is limiting the visibility of stock or automatically marking products as “out of stock” due to specific inventory settings.
Have you verified if the correct variants (size, color, etc.) are linked properly to the available stock on both CJ Dropshipping and your platform?
Thank you for your feedback, soo this is the current situation :
1 - On my CJ Dropshipping account, under my products, there’s one option : inventory Managed by CJ
I put Yes - Please make sure that you have “enabled” Inventory Sync under Shopify authorization tab. After that, inventory of the product can only be managed by CJ. (Reminder: there might be several hours delay.)
Plus, there’s one think that I just realize, from the CJ site, when I look into each product, I have the following information :
Inventory: 10077 (CJ: 0, Factory: 10077) → Just an example
and On my Shopify, under product, I can see for all of my products in the column : Inventory
EX : 430132 in stock for x Variants
*** Each Item reflect the same number as CJ platform.
2 - the shipping method on both sides are :
DJ - China Warehouse - CJPacket Ordinary
My ecommerce - (could not found were it shows)
3 - as mention before, If i check correctly, under the section INVENTORY - Column Unavailable, Committed, Available and On hand
For each colomn, I have the following numbers :
Unavailable Committed Available On hand
0 0 >10000 >10000
0 0 >10000 >10000
… … … …
I’ve asking to AI generator and trying a lot of things, but I have not found any solution.
