I have been actively working with Stock Savvy and it’s almost identical to Stocky. It does everything and a little more. The response to questions is very quick too.
Would you be able to message me an email to reach them at? When I go to view all pricing options it wants me to create a smart inventory management account. Do you feel this app gives you all the purchase order features you had with Stocky?
YES! Go to their app and they have a message button. They respond very quickly!
That’s actually the interesting part with a lot of these replacements once teams get the core PO flow back (creating, receiving, labels, stock takes), the next question becomes whether it still feels reliable enough day to day compared to Stocky.
Curious for anyone who’s been running one of these for a while now does it feel like a true operational replacement yet, or more like getting the main features back in separate pieces?
Hello, I’ve just created an app that’s available on the Shopify App Store.
I hope it meets your expectations. I can also update it if there are any features you’d like to see added.
Kind regards

I’m still trying out replacement apps and just had a great onboarding call with FyreTrail. The app seems to have everything I was looking for and more. They’re very open to feedback and are willing to help make things work the way you need them to.
Here’s a little about us to help you know what we were looking for. We’re primarily a brick and mortar store with 15K+ SKUs and several hundred active suppliers. I think FyreTrail will be a great app for us but if you’ve found a good Stocky replacement I’d love to hear about.
Hey @carriec228 .
Hope you are doing well.
Inventory planner direct stock replacement, same features work with your existing printers.
This whole thing is stressful. The native replacement covers basic counts but seems to drop the reorder forecasting and purchase order side, which is what I actually used Stocky for. For those of you further along, what are you planning to move to? And what was the main thing you used Stocky for day to day?
That distinction seems to be coming up a lot across these discussions.
For teams that mainly used Stocky for counts, adjustments, and inventory visibility, Shopify’s native tools seem to cover a reasonable portion of the workflow.
But for teams that relied on Stocky to answer questions like:
• what should I reorder?
• how much should I buy?
• when do I need to place the order?
• which supplier should it come from?
the gap feels much larger because those decisions happen before the PO is ever created.
What’s interesting is that people seem to be splitting into two camps:
- Replacing the planning/replenishment side (forecasting, reorder suggestions, supplier lead times)
- Replacing the operational side (POs, receiving, stock takes, labels)
Curious which side was more important in your day-to-day workflow? The purchasing/replenishment decisions, or the receiving and inventory control side after the PO was created?
The good thing about Shopify is there is always an app for that! With Stocky going away and many scrambling to find a suitable solution (that won’t break the bank) its better to plan the change sooner than later.
The only way to accomplish this is to have it all-in-one. Trying to maintain these things across multiple apps is going to lead to bad data, missed orders, and errors. To do this, use SKUSavvy. Here’s why:
Inventory - dual way sync, real-time updates, 3D bin mapping, bin-to-bin replenishment
Having the inventory sync in real-time is powerful, and with the ability to connect multiple Shopify stores to one SKUSavvy account while maintaining one single inventory pool this is designed to be the source of truth for stock.
PO Receiving and Unit Costs - AI powered forecasting, scan to receive, import POs, unit cost tracking, landed costs, and printing labels directly from the PO or transfer receipt.
You can get everything that Stocky has and quite a lot more within the SKUSavvy system, again designed to work with Shopify in real-time. Advanced forecasting also means you’re one click away from making all POs you need with just a click.
Scanning and Printing - use existing hardware, scan, print all-in-one
Keeping the existing hardware is essential, so long as you can print from a browser you can print from SKUSavvy. Also if you have barcode scanners, almost any scanner will work via BlueTooth.
Pricing - Stocky did it best
Hard to beat free. But, SKUSavvy is designed to accommodate almost all stores, starting at $179/month, with full WMS capabilities so you can grow seamlessly over time.
You can try it free for a month and easily get in touch with out team for support.
This is what I need. Shopify promised improvements but I have not seen anything.
has anyone spoke to Shopify?
That seems to be a common theme across a lot of the Stocky discussions.
The operational pieces (creating a PO, receiving inventory, making adjustments) are gradually getting replacements from Shopify or third-party apps.
The planning side appears to be where most of the uncertainty still exists:
• supplier lead times
• reorder quantities
• min/max targets
• case quantities and MOQs
• deciding what to buy and when
Those are the workflows I see merchants bringing up repeatedly, especially those managing larger catalogs and multiple suppliers.
I haven’t personally seen a clear statement from Shopify about replacing that part of Stocky yet, but I’d be interested if anyone has received more detailed guidance from Shopify support or their product team.
Hi @erlenstoms .
Hope you are doing great.
Yeah, this is a painful part. The native tool covers counts fine, but skips the forecasting side completely.
Inventory Planner, Genie, and Stock sync for recorder forecasting. and PO creation.
Main use I can see repeated for Stocky was generally PPO-based on sales velocity.
Hey @SectionKit …
Were you aware that FyreTrail also has a robust Demand Forecasting feature? We too have this built into not only the PO creation, but also into the general analysis by product/variant. We don’t stop at PPO either and factor in Seasonality and Event-based pressure (with the ability to create custom events) as well. From there you can slice and dice this into by Category or by Brand and then look at this slice by Location. All of which is initially customized by store type, but can be further adjusted by the actual stores themselves.
Anyway, sounds like maybe you didn’t know that so wanted to just let you know it was there.
Thanks!
This functionality should be native in Shopify.
Basic functionality has been eliminated
Total miss by Shopify here.
The hardest part to replace here isn’t the forecasting — it’s the workflow around receiving, and specifically printing labels off a PO once Stocky’s gone.
Two things worth knowing. First: export your Stocky data well before Aug 31 — POs, suppliers, cost history. It does not auto-migrate, and once the app and APIs are off there’s no getting it back. Shopify points you toward receiving via Admin Transfers, but that leaves the labels piece open.
Full disclosure, I make LabelCraft, which fills that specific gap. You paste or upload your received SKU+qty list, it matches to your products and prints the whole batch — Dymo, Zebra, Brother rolls or Avery sheets — and generates valid GS1 barcodes for anything missing one. Default print quantity is zero, so you never accidentally fire off 200 labels.
Reading Transfers directly is coming, not live yet — wanted to be straight about that. Happy to answer questions either way.
Stock Savvy is amazing! It’s also not expensive!
Hello,
I’ve added purchase orders to my app. I’m offering 3 lifetime subscriptions to the app for the first 3 installations. Install it and send me the URL of your website.
I’m feeling generous today, but in return, I’d appreciate it if you could provide me with constructive feedback on the app so I can make the necessary changes. If you encounter any issues, please let me know so I can fix them. I’d also appreciate any reviews, and please spread the word if you like it.
Have a great day
@julien32 I would love this but can you do a call to go over what I need ? email me at info@runninwildkids.co
