I cannot change my store address on my “Store Details” page, because I get the error “Street is invalid: The address number is out of range”. I’m entering the USPS and Google verified correct address below. Does this have to be fixed on Shopify’s end? I would appreciate it if someone with access to set store addresses and verify them could set my store address and verify it. This is the store’s verified address:
Thanks for flagging this here! I definitely see why it is important to resolve this, so let’s get to the bottom of it together.
I have also verified the address that you provided, thank you for doing so. From time to time, there can be a syncing error with certain ZIP Codes. To fix this, go to Settings > Store Details of a store admin type General Delivery after the first line of the address to validate using the Postal (ZIP) Code to complete address validation. Fill in the rest of the address as normal, including City, State, and ZIP Code. For example:
Please let me know if that works for you! Otherwise, I’m more than happy to continue working on this together. In the meantime, I’d love to hear how the rest of your initial setup is going? What type of products will you be selling?
Thank you very much for your quick response. Adding “General Delivery” at the end of the Street field has validated the address correctly! I really appreciate your help and enthusiasm. Will I have to leave the “General Delivery” at the end of the Street permanently? Will that show up everywhere in the site where the address is filled in automatically by the system?
As far as the rest of the setup process goes, I’ve been very happy with how the website editor and code editors are structured. I’ve used several other site builders, including Wix, Wordpress, Drupal, and others and I was impressed by how nice the Shopify UI is and how well everything works compared to other systems. I’m also impressed by how helpful and knowledgeable the community is. Any time I wasn’t sure how, or where to manually edit theme code, I was able to find well documented help here. That made the whole process a lot smoother and quicker.

I’m so happy to hear that worked for you, thank you for letting me know. I’m also really glad to hear that you’ve found the setup process of your store to be smooth.
In regards to your two questions, currently, the only way to check if the systems have updated the address would be to occasionally remove the ‘General Delivery’ option to see if the issue is still occurring. If so, you will have to leave that there until the system validates your specific address. In regards to Shopify pulling ‘General Delivery’, anything customer-facing, will not pull this information. I can say for certain that you would not see this on shipping labels, for example.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Lastly, thanks for sharing some of your products with me. They’re awesome. It looks like you’re off to a fantastic start with your business.
