Store Credit Workaround for B2B customers

Hello everybody,

We are looking at the store credit option that was released this year. Now I come to find out they can only be used on new customer accounts and also only for DTC customers and only online. For us, that’s not optimal, as we were looking forward to using catalogs, quantity rules, etc. together with the store credit for our B2B customers. Now we realised that store credit cannot be used for DTC customers online.

Now, do you have a good workaround for store credit for B2B customers that can be applied in draft orders and online by the customer? Because store credit was one of the main reasons for us to move to the new customer profiles?

Hi,

When Shopify releases the Store Credit as General Availability in December, we will be able to access this feature widely. We tested on development stores and found that the store credit cannot be issued to B2B customers as well, probably because it is a draft order. If this customer no longer belongs to a company then it would be fine. We raised this matter to Shopify and they understand. This is planned to be updated, but there is no timeline.
