Store owner reports many clicks from Facebook ads but very few sales (about 1–2 per week) and asks for conversion feedback. Plans to add “About Us” and “Fun ways to wear graphic tees” pages.
Key recommendations:
Reduce oversized hero image on desktop, ensure mobile optimization, and make it clickable to a collection or featured products.
Fix mobile product thumbnail “blinking” during page load.
Improve variant selection clarity; when an out‑of‑stock color is chosen (example product link provided), provide an obvious indicator rather than no image change.
Make the sizing chart collapsible to free space for product specifications.
Add advanced analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) to understand user behavior and identify friction points.
Optimize ad strategy: test creatives/audiences, scale traffic; if low sales with high traffic, reassess ads or targeting.
Outcome: Owner acknowledges feedback and plans to review each point; also thanked another commenter. No final decisions reported; discussion remains open with an invitation for further questions.
I’m getting quite a few link clicks to my store from my Facebook ads, however i’m not getting any sales…when I say any, I mean like 1-2 a week.
I have asked family and friends about my store and they just say it looks good! However there must be something wrong if people are leaving my store without purchasing.
I will also be adding an ‘About Us’ and ‘Fun ways to wear graphic tees’ pages soon.
The design is nice. It’s not perfect, but it’s nice to start your journey as a seller. Here are some things to consider:
The hero image on the homepage is way too big for desktop. Is it optimized for mobile devices? It took me a while to scroll down And you can also make it clickable so that it would lead to a collection page or to a specific product. You can use a hero image to show selected products or to inform users about new models.
On mobile, the product thumbnails are blinking during the page load. It’s not a that big deal because they stop doing it pretty soon, but still, I’d suggest you fix that.
One thing that is confusing is choosing the color and the size. For example, here: https://verbalthreads.com/products/arach-no-phobia?variant=45421657424166 if I select XS size and pick a color that is out of stock, nothing happens. The picture just does not change. But it does if the chosen color is in stock. I’d suggest you add are more obvious indicator for such cases.
Why not make the sizing chart more compact? Say, hide it under the “sizing chart” button to use that space for product specs. But I’m not a marketer, so some research is needed.
As for the visitors - try using some advanced analytics like Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity. This will show you how your users interact with the website and what they’re looking for exactly.
Also, ads is a number game. The more you show, the more you get (but of course, you need to test different ads). If you get little sales with little traffic - it’s fine, just try to scale it. If you get little sales with huge traffic - then there’s definitely a problem either with ads or defining your target audience.
I appreciate you identifying issues and also proposing workable solutions. Thank you for taking the time to click through my site. I will look into each of your valid points.
