Store Look

Hi Colleagues,

I trust you are well.

I have implemented some of the challenges that were suggested for my store.

Store name: kgarego.store

Could you please please check it and provide feedback.

Many thanks

Hey @Kgarego In a website show casing the products is not enough. It’s also included to design a site professionality. Like setting up all pages including home page, product page, collection page, policies etc. this is my hope review hope you like if this help full to you then don’t forget to like and mark as solution on it

Hello @Kgarego Thanks for reaching out to Shopify community to get the feedback for your store. There are few things that I noticed instantly on visiting the website.

  1. The website logo is not transparent. It should be transparent.
  2. The top menu in the header should have essential links only like home, collections. About us and contact us can be on the right side as icon or in the footer.
  3. You can include featured products in a carousel below the banner instead of stacking up the products in multiple rows.
  4. Review section can be better with styling or can add carousel of review cards.
  5. Footer is empty. You can move Newsletter form in the footer.
  6. You don’t have multiple products in each collection so showing them as collection with a different page link will not be a good idea. Its better to add a filter on shop all page only.

These are the few things I noticed for now. Thanks

hey nice to see the progress! you clearly took the feedback from your last thread seriously. the store is looking way more put together now.

next thing i’d focus on is the product imagery. consistent, lifestyle-forward photos will take it from “decent store” to “i trust this brand.” we use Prodofoto to generate those kinds of shots from basic product photos. even just updating your homepage hero and top sellers with lifestyle images would make a big visual difference.

Thank you so much for the warm response

Hi, @Kgarego

  • The website has a good foundation and clean design, but it still feels more like a standard Shopify template than a strong brand.

  • The homepage should communicate the product value and brand identity more clearly.

  • Trust signals such as reviews, policies, social media, and brand storytelling should be strengthened.

  • Product pages need more conversion-focused content and information.

  • Mobile experience and SEO/content strategy still have room for improvement.

  • The logo is currently too large and takes up excessive visual space in the header.

  • The footer layout could be improved to look more structured and visually balanced.

  • The main opportunity is building a stronger and more memorable brand identity.

Hey @Kgarego ,
I checked your store and you’ve already made some nice improvements The store feels cleaner and more structured compared to many new Shopify stores.

Here are a few suggestions that could help improve trust, conversion, and overall user experience even more:

  1. Homepage First Impression

Your homepage should immediately communicate:

  • What you sell
  • Why customers should buy from you
  • What makes your brand unique

Consider adding:

  • A stronger hero banner
  • Clear CTA buttons like Shop Now
  • Short value propositions (Fast Shipping, Quality Products, Secure Checkout, etc.)
  1. Product Pages

Your product pages can become more conversion-focused by adding:

  • More detailed product descriptions
  • Size/specification information
  • Trust badges
  • Shipping/return information near Add to Cart

This helps reduce hesitation before purchase.

  1. Mobile Optimization

Most traffic is mobile nowadays, so:

  • Check spacing
  • Font sizes
  • Button alignment
  • Image cropping

A small mobile tweak can improve conversions significantly.

  1. Speed & Performance

A few optimizations can help:

  • Compress large images
  • Remove unused apps
  • Limit excessive animations

Faster stores usually convert better and rank better on Google.

  1. Trust Building

Consider adding:

  • Customer reviews
  • FAQ section
  • Contact information
  • Policies in footer
  • Social proof / Instagram feed

These small things make a huge difference for first-time visitors.

Our Recommendation

You’re moving in the right direction
At this stage, I’d focus mainly on:

  1. Better homepage storytelling
  2. Stronger product pages
  3. Mobile experience
  4. Building customer trust

Those usually create the biggest impact early on

If you’re not comfortable with editing theme files then let me know and I’ll be happy to give you a helping hand

Hello there @Kgarego ,

Thanks for sharing the store url and ask for feedback. I just check your store. It’s actually awesome but a few improvements can leads to more sales.

Here is my honest feedback shared below:

  • Currently your site footer is not professional and well designed. A small improvement can leads to increase the conversion rate and add the useful link in it as well.
  • Product Description: I see the product description is written from the Chatgpt or other tool, which SEO power is not enough to attract more customers. That say, you have to hire the content writer that write the best SEO friendly copywriting.
  • Product page optimization: Product page is not enough optimized to generate more sales or to build enough trust. That say implementing the best strategies can leads to get more sales. And offer some discounts, bundles etc. to generate more sales.

Hope these are points helps you a lot to understand what is need to be implemented.

Best Regards,

Hi @Kgarego Your store has a clean and visually appealing foundation. The product photography is strong, consistent, and clearly communicates a soft, premium “baby gift” positioning. That part is working well.

However, there are several issues holding it back:

1. Brand trust is weak. Right now, the site feels like a dropshipping storefront rather than a real brand:

  • No visible reviews on product pages
  • No user-generated content
  • “About Us” is not prominent or compelling
  • No trust badges, guarantees, or clear return policy above the fold

You need to answer: Why should someone trust you with their baby purchase?

2. Homepage lacks direction. The hero banner is generic and wasted space:

  • No clear value proposition
  • No differentiation (custom embroidery is your strongest angle, but it’s buried)
  • Replace it with something specific like: “Personalized Baby Gifts – Custom Embbroidered Keepsakes”

Also: Add sections like “Best Sellers”, “Popular Names”, “Gift Sets”, etc. Reduce empty browsing and guide users to purchase

3. Pricing vs perceived value mismatch. Your pricing (e.g., R410) is not cheap, so users expect:

  • Strong branding
  • Premium presentation
  • Trust signals

At the moment, the site doesn’t justify the price psychologically.

4. Navigation and structure. Menu is too basic:

  • “Shop” is vague
  • Categories like Beanie, Bib, Blanket are fine, but no grouping like: “By Product”, “By Occasion” (Baby Shower, Newborn Gift, etc.)

Also missing: Search optimization (important for stores with multiple SKUs)

5. Delivery messaging is inconsistent. You mention:

  • “Delivered in 7–12 days”
  • “Production 3–7 days + Shipping 3–8 days”

That’s confusing and long. For impulse gift buyers, this is a conversion killer. You need clearer and more confident messaging.

6. No strong conversion triggers. Missing elements:

  • Bundle offers (e.g., “Buy 2, Save 10%”)
  • Free shipping threshold
  • Gift packaging upsell
  • Limited-time offers

TL;DR:

What’s working well:

  • Visual consistency
  • Niche clarity (baby + personalization)
  • Product-market fit (giftable items)

What to fix first (priority):

  • Add reviews + trust signals
  • Rewrite homepage with a clear value proposition
  • Improve product page structure (bullets, personalization emphasis)
  • Add conversion drivers (offers, urgency)
  • Clarify shipping

If you fix just those, conversion rate should improve noticeably. Hope this helps

I took a quick look at store, and the layout is looking much cleaner! One thing that really stands out as a trust builder for me is how smoothly your product pages load. In 2026, site speed and stability are everything.

Since you’ve been working on challenges, I’d suggest double-checking your mobile navigation. Most shoppers will be on their phones, so making sure your product variants and Add to Cart buttons are front-and-center (with no layout shifts or flicker) will be your secret weapon for conversions.
