I am trying to create my store, but the two main variations (spaces & no spaces) are apparently taken. Is there any review process for camped on store names? I own the URL to the name and other associated URL’s.
Does your internal shopify store name really matter at all if I’m eventually just going to connect my domain?
The Shopify store name is just for internal Shopify purpose only. This only shows up when someone will search your Shopify url but the domain url you own will show up to your customers.
As @made4Uo mentioned, as long as you have a custom domain purchased and connected to your store, your customers won’t see your .myshopify.com URL. I would still recommend choosing a .myshopify.com URL that you’re happy with, as you’re unable to change it. So if you ever need to contact our support team, or if your custom domain became disconnected, the .myshopify.com URL will be what our team and your customers see. I recommend making it a variation of your business name, or your business name with “store” added to the end, or something similar. You can check out this help document for the instructions to connect your custom domain to your store!
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
