There can be many mistakes, but I would not call them mistakes, I would call them improvements. For example, most merchants don’t have the time to improve the data feed quality. Adding all the attributes and improving existing attributes is a big important step. The data feed is the foundation of your performance and ranking.
Then in Google Ads, I guess maybe relying too much on just using Pmax, with nothing else. Don’t get me wrong, performance max is a good campaign type, but I would also work on using standard shopping, text ads, etc.
Another common area that merchants forget is to periodically have promotions.
And lastly, most merchants need to periodically improve the website. Make it UI friendly, more rich content, better features etc.
