Store still exists, but not associated with any accounts

I’ve had a Shopify shop open for a while, but recently found that I am unable to access it. The shop is still up and running, and it can accept orders (I use checkout links on an external website). The order notifications are still sent to my email address. However, if I try to log in to the shop to fulfill an order, using my owner/admin account (the one with which I created the shop), I’m told that I don’t have access. In short, there are no longer any shops associated with the admin account for my shop.

Hoping to get in touch with someone from Shopify who can solve this.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re running into an error when trying to login to your Shopify admin.

First, please ensure you’re using a supported browser. You can also troubleshoot by:

  • checking for browser updates
  • clearing your cache and cookies
  • testing another browser or device
  • trying an incognito/private browsing window, or
  • logging in via the Shopify mobile app

Is it possible that you used any other email address to login to the account in the past? If the email address receiving order notifications is the only one you used for the store, please contact our team via the Shopify Help Center so we can investigate further and help you regain access to your account. You can select the “Can’t log in to your Shopify account” option to proceed.

Thanks—I realized that someone I was working with had changed the admin email address. Got the credentials from them.
