Could this then show in the Shopify Transfers section?
Bulk transfer of inventory between locations is desired via a bulk upload, rather than adding transfer lines one by one. The key requirement is that movements appear as Transfer records in Shopify’s Transfers section.
Proposed workaround: use a CSV plus the Shopify Admin/Inventory API to adjust inventory levels at source and destination locations per SKU. Clarification: this updates stock counts but does not create or expose a Transfer record, so it won’t be visible in the Transfers interface.
Current limitation: participants state there is no official Transfers API (read or write) and no webhooks for transfer creation/updates, even for Shopify Plus. That prevents automation of creating transfers, reading them, or updating statuses when goods ship.
Perspectives: one view promotes inventory-level updates via API; others emphasize that the core need is transfer tracking and visibility, which the API cannot fulfill today.
Status and requests: no resolution or official Shopify response noted. Users request a Transfers API and webhooks, and an explanation for the policy decision behind their absence. Actionable interim option is limited to inventory adjustments via API; transfer records remain manual.
