Struggling to Get Sales on My Website After Losing My Etsy Store – Need Advice

Hey everyone,

I used to sell posters successfully on Etsy, and it was my primary source of income, but my store recently got shut down. It was a tough hit, as Etsy brought in a steady stream of customers. Luckily, I’ve always had my own website, WallMarvel.com, but the problem is—it never really took off in terms of sales.

What’s confusing is that I have the same products on my website that used to sell well on Etsy, but for some reason, they just don’t convert here. I’ve tried paid ads, but they haven’t been profitable, and I’m struggling to figure out what’s holding things back.

I’d really appreciate honest feedback on my website—whether it’s design, pricing, product presentation, navigation, or overall user experience—so I can understand what might be stopping potential buyers from making a purchase.

If you’ve been in a similar situation, I’d love to hear what worked for you. Any insights, strategies, or recommendations would mean a lot. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to check it out and share their thoughts! :folded_hands:

Hello, I’m from Mageplaza- a Shopify solutions expert. To help you improve your conversion rate, here are some useful recommendations:

Experiencing a high cart abandonment rate can be discouraging, particularly after working hard to drive traffic. If many potential customers exit before finalizing their purchase, your conversion rate is likely taking a hit.

To tackle this issue, you can:

  • Send Reminder Emails: Following up with customers about their abandoned carts can encourage them to return and complete their purchase.
  • Provide Incentives: Discounts or free shipping can serve as effective motivators.

Improve promotional banner and section on Homepage

You should add seasonal banners for current promotions or collections (e.g., Summer Sale, Winter Collection) to catch the attention of customers.

Additionally, featuring sections like “Best Sellers” and “On Sale”, New arrivals, not show all the products directly on homepage, make discount labels and pricing information more noticeable, adding Add to cart, add to wish list buttons can drive attention to popular and discounted products, encouraging visitors to engage more with your site.
