Subdomain for translating website's content

Hey Guys,

I tried to translate my wesbite into another language with Weglot,

Every thing is wotking pretty great till we started to translate our media files, then Weglot asked us to make a subdomain for each language.

I need to know if i would accept this solution, I would have several individual websites can would be managed separately? ( regarding content, products, etc.)

Hey, @mai_ezzat .

Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!

You can connect up to a total of 20 domains or subdomains to your Shopify account. However, I’m not sure how much content you can manage separately, as Weglot serves as a translator as opposed to a page builder. While each domain or subdomain can be pointed to a different destination (eg. website or page), I’d recommend continuing to work with Weglot to see what the pros and cons are with setting up a subdomain for each language.

That being said, if you’ve purchased your domain on Shopify, then we’ve got a step-by-step guide on adding a subdomain for your Shopify-managed domain. Or, if you’re using a third-party domain, then you can follow our guide on connecting a third-party subdomain to Shopify.

I’d love to hear more about your business! What kinds of products do you sell? How many languages are you setting up for your website?
