I have a challenge to build a video subscription site on shopify. Looks like there are apps available to do this but I have a few needs that I’m not sure will work. Wondering if anyone in the community has done something similar.

We have a main domain wordpress site that uses shopify buy buttons to sell products. We want to keep this site going and keep using the buy buttons as they are setup. Don’t want to effect the buy buttons functionality.

We don’t have a shopify online store setup yet so thinking of using a subdomain for the shopify store and sell the video subscription on that site. Purchasers of video subscription would get a year access (that they could renew after a year expired if they wanted).

The video subscription accompanies a physical book - so would want to bundle the book and video subscription into one product (book gets shipped and member account gets created for video access).
Ideally a buy button could be created from this bundled product so we could link that to main wordpress site.. but that might not work.
I’ve read subdomain for shopify store should be straight forward but perhaps a new standalone domain would be better?
