Synchronized inventory on product page NOT after checkout

Hello,

I have a two bundle products that share the same master product SHORTS:

SHORTS black XS (master product has 2 variants)

PADS black XS 1 CM (sub product has 3 variants)

SHORTS black XS (master product has 2 variants)

PADS black XS 2 CM (sub product has 3 variants)

A customer is able to place an order for both bundles even if the total stock for SHORTS is 1 piece, bringing the possibility of selling an out of stock product.

I have been told by four different support teams of app that help to sync inventory and create bundles, that this happens because the synchronisation happens AFTER the customer checks out.

Does anyone have a workaround, plugin or built in solution?

Best,

Is the shorts actually one product or have you duplicated it (making 2 different products) in Shopify? I don’t want to make assumptions on your setup so getting that clear would help.

Even better would be links to the bundles.

Hello Jason,

We need to have them as ONE product.

If it helps, let me give you background on what I am trying to accomplish as a whole:

I am trying to create a bundle with a product that has 2 variants -color, size- (SHORTS) with a sub product that has 3 variants -color, size, thickness- (PADS). Conditions:

  • The main product cannot be purchased without the sub product
  • The sub product CAN be purchased alone
  • The customer can select all the variants from the SHORTS
  • The customer can only select the variant “thickness” from the PADS, the other two pad variants are hidden (and so, automatically if the customer chooses SHORTS BLUE XS, the pads will also be BLUE XS).
    Best,

Lucia.
