Users are encountering a “Sync Failed - param body.skus(0)inventory is empty” error when attempting to sync Shopify products to TikTok Shop, despite having inventory in stock.
Common Issues Identified:
The error appears to affect multiple users across different regions (UK, USA)
Retrospectively adding SKUs through bulk edit doesn’t resolve the issue
Creating products with SKUs from the start allows successful syncing
Some users with multiple warehouse locations experience the error
Attempted Solutions:
Verifying inventory levels and product availability in Shopify
Checking regional settings match between Shopify and TikTok Seller Center
Reviewing TikTok’s product guidelines for specific regions
Contacting both Shopify and TikTok support (with limited success)
Working Solution:
One user successfully resolved the issue by configuring warehouse mapping in the TikTok Shop app:
Navigate to Shop Settings > Shop Management > Fulfillment tab
Edit Warehouse Settings and add vendor/supplier (e.g., Printify)
Match Shopify warehouse to TikTok warehouse in Pickup Warehouse Mapping
Save and retry syncing
This solution worked for several users, though it may not apply to all scenarios (particularly multi-supplier setups). Note: TikTok Shop doesn’t support dropshipping arrangements.

Hi, I’m trying to connect my shopify account to my TikTok sellers page. Ive gone to sync my products and am getting the error “Sync Failed - param body.skus(0)inventory is empty”
My inventory in my shop is not empty and I’m not sure how to resolve this?
Ive tried downloading SKU IQ however I can’t seem to change the region settings from USA to the UK which is where im based.
Having a nightmare!
If anyone has any advice or fixes that would be brilliant.
I have the same error today. It is a new connection to a new TikTok shop. I am using the TikTok app in the Shopify store and I have followed all the steps so far successfully.
Did you get to the bottom of why this is occurring?
Also have exactly the same error, If I add a SKU at the time of a new Product Creation, then the SKU and Sync Work, otherwise trying to retrospectively add them through BULK Edit doesn’t work, don’t want to delete and recreate 60 products, deleting and reimporting using a CSV doesn’t work either.
This is happening to me too! So frustrating. I contacted Shopify Support but they said it is TikToks fault. I have tried contacting TikTok but no response yet.
Check Product Availability: Ensure that the products you are trying to sync have available inventory. If the inventory is set to zero or the products are hidden, they won’t sync. Go to Shopify Admin > Products > check the inventory levels for the products you want to sync.
Also do ensure your product locations are set to UK, check this link.
If your TikTok Seller Center is set to the UK region, make sure your Shopify products are linked to the same region in your TikTok integration settings.
Log into your TikTok Seller Center, navigate to Settings > Warehouse Information, and confirm your country/region is set to the UK.
Your products should also meet TikTok’s product guidelines for your region (UK).
Hope this resolves the issue. Do let me know if it did
I had this error today. Mine is because I have 2 locations set, one for delivery and one for collection. When I untick Fulfill online orders from this location
Inventory at this location is not available for sale online from my collection address I can sync with tiktok. It has my inventory as 0 at this location so I guess tiktok thinks I have no stock and doesnt sync.
i’ve contacted tiktok support about this and they tell me "“reset your cache, turn off vpn, etc etc” super basic troubleshooting. obv doesnt work. then they escalate the support ticket, and the next team comes back and tells me to do the exact same basic troubleshooting i repeatedly told them doesnt work.
I think I may have figured it out. I was having the same issue & for me it was the warehouse mapping. Go to your TikTok shop app within Shopify then click on Shop Settings. Then click on Shop Management then click on the Fulfillment tab. Under Warehouse Settings click Edit & make sure whatever vendor you’re using for your products is listed there. If not you will have to manually add it by clicking Add Warehouse. Once you have saved that information click the back arrow button (not your browser back arrow button) on the top left under the TikTok symbol. Under the Pickup Warehouse Mapping section if you scroll down there is an Edit button, click that. Make sure the Your Shopify Shop Warehouse matches the TikTok Shop Warehouse. For example if you use Printify then you want Printify under the Your Shopify Shop Warehouse & TikTok Shop Warehouse. Once you have done that click Save. Then try to sync your products again. This is what I had to do & it worked. Had to figure it out on my own though. I hope this helps you all! Teamwork makes the dream work!
