The reason here is that Yoast SEO APP has commented your store’s meta title and meta description code contents, and it makes your store pages fail to show the meta tag contents properly. Leftover code is usually a sign that this process was done without following the steps in our uninstallation guide (which is a two-step process to deactivate and delete our app).
Fortunately, there is no need for time-consuming manual code removal (which can be done by contacting our support for you if needed), as this can be easily fixed with a simple reinstallation and uninstallation process without starting a new subscription or being charged.
For future reference (and for anyone who may be reading this), please find below the steps that you can follow:
Removal process
- Re-install the Yoast SEO app on your site, but
- instead of “Get a subscription,” click on “Remove theme modifications”. Please wait until the process is finished.
- Click on Go back to Apps and then remove the app again.
