Hi All,
We had a chargeback initiated against us for an online order. The chargeback was initiated about 3 months after the product was delivered to our customer. We submitted proof that the order was delivered but somehow lost the chargeback. Now Shopify will not implement their Shopify Protect and refund us for the chargeback.
Some details:
- Order was shipped with SurePost
- UPS did not show any tracking, but USPS showed it was delivered.
- Since the chargeback was so long ago, I had to pay for USPS Archive $9 to retrieve the tracking information.
- The folks at Shopify Chat don’t understand the issue and keep looking at the UPS tracking. It’s been so long that even UPS has voided the tracking number.
- It’s taken more than two months of wrangling with Shopify so now I need to take this to court.
Questions:
- We’re in San Francisco but wanted to ask if anyone has ever submitted a Small Claims against Shopify.
- I have saved the emails/chats with Shopify and you can see how inept the service is.
Thanks!
