Target marketing for food items that can only be sold in-state (WY)

We have products that cannot be sold out of state on our shopify store. How can we use google and/or google ads to promote these other products?

However, what I would do is simply submit the products as normal, without the above. Then in Google Ads make sure your campaign is set to 1 specific state, and exclude everything else. However technically in this case you still need to allow products to be sold out of state.

If you absolutely must, then alternatively setup local product listings, but that will be for ads only around your area, which is usually 30miles I think, I could be wrong.

So you have a few options to choose from. The correct one would be the first one using regional availability.

You said it in your answer–there is no way to restrict the sale of any one product on a shopify store to one state. This has nothing to do with google marketing limits on markets–if it is on the shopify store, one product cannot be limited to one state and all the rest of the products national. Can shopify support look at creating such a limitation for small food producers, please?

For Google shopping, simply use regional pricing and availability. So that you can limit the targeting to only what you want.

Or simply only setup your location targeting in Google Ads, for the specific regions you want to target. Assuming in this case technically you are not limiting this in your shopify account.

So what you do, depends on how everything works, as there is no 1 correct answer at this point. Just an FYI.

So make sure, if you are currently allowing sales in all areas, simply limit the targeting in advertising.

If you are limiting your sales to specific states, then you need to use regional availablity and pricing.
