Hello all,
I’m setting up a store that sells to the EU and the UK. I need to show prices with VAT included for people in EU countries, and without VAT for people in the UK. So far the calculations all work correctly. However, when I go to do a test purchase, the text “Tax included and shipping calculated at checkout” is displayed when I have selected UK in the country selector. “Tax included” is also displayed on the product page even though the price is correctly displayed without tax.
This seems like a bug as tax is in fact not included for the country I’ve selected. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, do you have a workaround?
I’m using the Geolocation plugin and the Venture theme.
hi
we have the same issue, but the other way araound
We are in the UK, we charge vat to uk customers only and anyone else does not get charge vat, this is all working well, but as you said, the text next to the price on product page show “Tax included, shipping calculated at checkout”
This is static text and is not dynamic, so it displays the same no matter where the custoer is from
we just wanted it to dislay “Price includes VAT” for UK customers only
i have found where you edit the static text,
Online Store | Themse | Edit Theme Content |
then search " Taxes Included"
We have changed ours to “Chipping Calculated at Checkout” and deleted the part about tax paid as a workaround
but ideally need a dynamic solution so it just displays nothing for customers outside the UK
