Tax isn't charging eventhough I set it up to charge it.

Hi, I selected Tax Include in setting → tax.

As you can see on the bottom

But, tax isn’t carged on sales I don’t know why, can I please know how to fix this problem?

Hey, @Tfashionmart

That setting you toggled on isn’t to activate calculating tax, per se. That toggle explicity states that the product prices include tax. Meaning that your business has already incorperated the cost of tax into your product pricing, meaning you don’t want Shopify to ‘double’ tax. Which explains why you aren’t seeing a tax line item applied on the order.

You will actually want to turn that off and go to your Admin > Settings > Taxes and duties and choose which countries you are required to collect taxes in:

If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

But if you see right here, we should get paid with tax that are labeled. I would like my customers pay for taxes too. How can I do that?

Hey, @Tfashionmart

I’m not sure I follow your example? If you have the setting turned on that you previously did which is ‘tax included in product price’ our system will not charge taxes a second time since it assumes you have accounted for the cost of taxes your customer needs to pay within the cost of the product. Our system will not double charge for taxes when that setting is turned on. For this reason, I suggest turning that setting off.

When you turn that setting off, you can set up tax rates within your tax settings so that all of your customers will pay taxes on their orders when it is necessary for them to pay taxes based on how you set it up in your store. We have a guide here that I recommend checking out on setting up taxes within your Shopify store.
