Hello,
we sell goods from our warehouse in South Carolina to customers in the USA and Canada. Recently we had a case where a customer with a billing address in Florida ordered merchandise and had it shipped to Pinehurst, North Carolina. We have a nexus in Florida, but no nexus in North Carolina. Nevertheless, Shopify charged taxes on the order, although with Florida, I believe this should only be done if the goods are also shipped to that state.
Can anyone tell me why this may be happening?
