Main issue: Shopify apps fail to load or redirect, showing messages that the browser isn’t supported or that third‑party cookies must be enabled, even when they already are. One user also cannot log into Shopify Admin on Chrome and switched to Firefox, but app installs still fail.
Affected environments:
Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera/OperaGX, Safari (reported across multiple devices).
Some participants suspect a recent Chrome update, but identical failures across non‑Chrome browsers suggest a broader issue beyond a single browser version.
Attached screenshots show the cookie/browser support error prompts and are central to understanding the exact messages.
Status:
No confirmed fix, workaround, or official guidance shared. The problem remains ongoing.
Open questions:
Whether this is a Shopify platform/auth change versus a browser update interaction with third‑party cookies.
Any reliable interim workaround beyond cookie settings and cache clearing.
I can’t get my live apps to redirect even after installing the correct coding. I am using Safari and Firefox and chrome on my laptop . I keep getting an error message that the browser isn’t supported or I need to clear my cookies. I have cleared the cookies & allowed cookies for Shopify. and also enable the third party cookies but it given same error :
Same issue, saw that its to do with the latest update to chrome so i downloaded firefox and still get this issue. Might be able to fix it be going back a version on your browser but personally i think thats a ridiculous ask as a workaround.
Can confirm this is exactly the same on Chrome, Firefox, Edge and OperaGX regardless of cache, cookies or 3rd party settings. Tried to downgrade firefox to version 118 (latest is 119) but that hasnt solved the issue.
Hey, the same for me. Actually, now i can’t even login to shopify admin on Chrome, and using Firefox for this. And when i’m installing my shopify app, it’s says the same as yours problem. Would be nice to understand what’s going on
