My banner image is white however when i upload it, it shows as light grey. how can i fix that?

It looks like you have a gray overlay on the slideshow. See if you can remove that somewhere in your settings.

Are you talking about the slideshow? Are you able to share an image to pinpoint which section you are talking about?
