The GraphiQL app runs into permissions issues in my staff account

I have a staff account on a couple of my clients’ stores and I keep hitting permissions errors with the GraphiQL app even though I can install it and even if I install it. It happens whether I install with a very limited set of permissions or all permissions.

Also it flashes the app on the screen and shows the tabs from the queries that I’ve run in the GraphiQL app in my test store and then after a moment it flashes to the permissions screen.

My suspicion is that it’s looking at some queries in my other tabs or in my history and assuming that I need permissions related to those queries in the client store.

I was also having the same issues. My access was originally as a collaborator to the store I was having issues with and never got past this permissions error, even though I was given all the necessary rights on the store.

I removed my collaborator access and was added as a staff with the necessary permissions in the store before it to work for me. Feels a little like an unintended work around. Surprised this hasn’t been addressed yet. Hopefully this can be of some help to someone that comes across this in the future.
