Who of you have faced my problem.. My small shop uses the shopify amazon plugin to process orders and is now going away 9/27/21 and we are forced to buy a app that dips in to my amazon shop and get the orders. The big deal is this now makes it unable to do business with shopify because the cost now strips the profits from the sale after i pay amazon and shopify and shipping I am not making enough to keep my shopify store open. the math is this 100 sales a month of a $10 product that i must ship for free or the sales die. the shopify store only sells 10% and amazon 85% and etsy 5%. The fees for shopify are $31 a month and amazon is $30 plus $2 fees and shipping is $3.85 and going up this fall. if I raise the price the sales fall over 75%. So GOOD BYE to shopify it was great to use, it did what we need with ease but now it just killed it self.

Our team developed a great app that could be a replacement for the free amazon channel that gets sunshine by Shopify.

Adding another sales platform like eBay might work for you as well.
Our application allows syncing price and stock between Shopify products and Amazon listings, importing Amazon orders to Shopify. As your products already exist on Amazon, getting them linked through Salestio will be very easy. We support using ASIN codes as product identifiers to link Shopify items. $31 + $29 = $60 is the cost for running synchronization.

I know that does not exactly solve the issue you mention but could give you some reasons to stay on the Shopify platform.
I have been using this new app for a week or so now and agree it is a crime that they took a perfectly functioning free app, discontinued it and then made us download a new app that is no longer free! I feel particularly violated because the new app does not work as well as the old one! First it messed up a bunch of my existing Amazon listings and now it is not uploading the shipping information to Amazon… Meaning I have to manualy copy and past the tracking info from Shopify to Amazon. This has happened periodically with the free app, but it is NOT what you would expect with a new PAID app! I also have begun to research Shopify alternatives!
We found that I can do it all in stamps.com … It is in the order section that you setup the connections to shopify and to amazon and to ebay so all my labels are done and updated with tracking numbers, stamps even lefts me pick between UPS and USPS for the best rates. the only thing I had to give up was the nice order printer in shopify, so now it is a plain packing slip with a coustom logo and message that the customer sees… (like they read it anyway).
