I am now convinced that they refuse to hire anyone who thinks in human factors and have not actually used their own product in any capacity. The new transfers interface is even worse than the beta was. You still cannot see if items were accepted or rejected, just that ‘something’ was done with them. They jammed more little clickables onto the page, BUT IT IS A SHRUNKEN PAGE. All of this just gets taken up by text. The old method with a colored bar and being able to click in rejected and accepted and easily tell what your numbers are is dead. Now everything requires an extra click. We were forced into the beta for this, I communicated with the Shopify team about the problems and rather than use the feedback they doubled down on the exact things that were raised as concerns. At this point I hope I never find another job that uses this platform.
You’re not imagining it. The accepted/rejected data still exists, but the default transfer list no longer makes the exception visible.
If your plan shows Analytics > Reports > New exploration, there is a practical stopgap: build one transfer-exception report grouped by Transfer ID, shipment ID, SKU/product and destination, with Ordered, Shipped, Received, Accepted and Rejected quantity. Save one view filtered to Rejected quantity > 0 and another for Ordered quantity > Received quantity. Shopify’s current transfer-report documentation lists those fields, including acceptance and rejection rates.
That does not repair the receiving screen, but it gives staff one closeout view where shortages and rejections stand out without opening every transfer. I would also put the receiver/date in the transfer note so the report has audit context.
Does your admin expose those transfer and shipment fields in a custom report? If yes, I can post the exact column and filter order. If not, that tells us the workaround is plan-limited.
