The shopify buy now button does not bring properties data into the checkout

We recently discovered that shopify’s buy now button doesn’t seem to bring properties data into checkout.

As shown in the figure below, we will organize the properties according to the product options selected by the customer and put them into the form dom of the buy now button.

But today we found out that the buy now button doesn’t bring this data into the checkout, everything was fine before today.

We have just seen the same issue as well. Was there a botched update today that is causing this problem or will we be unable to get line items into buy now button (which I don’t understand why that would be the case).

I’m also facing the same issue, did you got any response from the shopify support team on this ?

In my case I noticed that sometimes it works and sometimes not, without knowing why.

Hope that this will be fixed soon !

Hi,

There was such a problem around 06-02-2022, but after 2-3 days the problem disappeared.

But we found this issue reappearing last week, and so far, the issue persists. We have not yet found the cause of this issue.

We suspect the bug is caused by a recent update of shopify.

We tried shopify support, but they told us that there is no problem with the buy now button.

Hi @ymq ,

Many of us are facing this issue as you can see ( https://community.shopify.com/post/1646158 ). This will maybe make the shopify support team take into consideration this bug and look into it.

On my side I will disable the buy now button for now to save time and energy until things get clear.
