The variant drop down menu options not working properly on mobile

So, I just noticed this problem on my iPhone 12. The variant drop down menu options are not all selectable or only one variant is selectable. Oddly enough, this problem is not present on my iPhone 7 even though both are running the same version of iOS 14.7.1 Desktop site has no issues.

Any one have any thoughts on what could possibly be the issue? My Shopify theme is Palo Alto.

I ran several tests across your website using an up-to-date iPhone 12 and the default Safari browser, and I wasn’t able to recreate your experience. In particular I tested several camera strap products, each of which had selectable variant drop downs.

  • Are you experiencing this issue across all products, or one in particular?
  • Can you provide me with a screenshot of what you see and a direct link of where you see it?
  • Do you have access to another iPhone 12 through your network that can be used to run a similar test?

This can help us rule out any device-specific errors.

Hello Olivia,

When I try to select a different size length, leather color or thread color, those variants that I select are not reflected on the product page after selected. This happens to all strap products in both chrome and safari.

Please look at the following products specifically and try to select different sizes, leather color and thread color to see what I am describing.

I ran some additional tests against the products you shared, and at first I still could not replicate your experience.

However, when I continued to choose new variant options in the same product repeatedly, I noticed it began to “glitch” and wouldn’t update close to 30% of the time.

Since this is an issue you have been experiencing for some time and it has been replicated, please connect with your Theme’s Developer directly with the examples and this forum thread for extra context.
