The Vendor i ordered from is no longer available on Shopify

I had made a purchase from vendor ‘sharmatreders’ through shopify on 11th March 2022. But yesterday i saw the page/merchant being unavailable. I made the payment through UPI (Transaction ID: 207065347574) and transaction number 14838830211 for Rs. 1089 done for Chandresh Jamanbhai Kikani. I have the screenshot where it said that my order has been confirmed and i will be intimated when it is ready to be shipped, but now i don’t see the vendor on the page and have no way of communicating to them.

I can appreciate that this situation may be frustrating once you realise the store is inaccessible. However, Shopify is the e-commerce service merchants use to run their stores. We don’t ship or manage orders.

I understand the store is closed now, but I would always recommend getting in touch with the merchant first. You should be able to find their email address in the footer of the order confirmation email. If there is no email there, check their social media profiles and try to reach out there.

Finally, I do want to stress we absolutely do not condone any type of fraudulent activity on Shopify. If you think this store is hosted on Shopify, I would highly encourage you to fill out our form here to Report an AUP Violation so that our dedicated team can further investigate for you. You could also file a claim with your bank that will trigger a notification internally, which we can use to investigate the store as needed.

I had used my phone number instead of email, so I don’t have the email address. Plus I haven’t received any confirmation message from the vendor as well. The only text message I have is from the payment partner. I have filled out the form as mentioned above and look for a resolution as soon as possible.

Same thing has happen with me. Shopify team please confirm how to contact the merchant, there is no confirmation email or contact on site to check with merchant.

I haven’t received any update from the Shopify team yet. This is highly unprofessional and I am going to escalate the issue on larger platforms so more people could know how Shopify is conning them and doesn’t perform due diligence,

The same vendor is still conning people on Shopify with a new name. Below is the link. So neither has the Shopify team taken any action against them, on the contrary, they are still using the platform to con people.

same for me, they created user using Shopify using address http://bagmanufacturer.com/
