I was charged $1.30 more for the package, but the weight was exact and correct. Can anyone make sense of why I was charged?

May be it’s a dimension issue ? go into your shopify shipping settings and look at the dimensions you have saved for that large polymailer preset. If the dimensions aren’t filled in or are off, Shopify can’t account for dim weight when generating the label, which leads to these adjustments after the fact.

So the dimensions are little off for this weight and they may have rounded it to 2lb and charges you accordingly.
Even if the weight is correct, carriers usually add extra charges for Dimensional Weight (the box size was larger than expected) or hidden Surcharges (residential delivery, fuel, or address correction fees). You should check all the fee once again.
