Hello..I created a paypal button so customers without a paypal account can also purchase through paypal… they provided me a code from paypal to paste so that it appears in the checkout.. Does anyone know or can help me with locating where to paste this and how to get this done please?

Also I think I need to create a separate button for each product so I need to create a checkout button for each product.

If anyone know how to embed the code so I can customize my checkout page that will be amazing!

Hey @user1860,

I think you might copy from the paypal developer tool. And you are worry about where this need to paste. Here is the easy step so that you can add it at once without adding it in each template.

  • Go to Shopify Admin.
  • Go to Online Store.
  • After online store select the theme >> Customise >> Product template.

In the product template you need to add a block for the custom coding. And you have to paste your all code there.

Hi @user1860

Shopify already includes a built-in PayPal option that lets customers pay even if they don’t have a PayPal account. Go to Settings > Payment → enable “PayPal Express Checkout”, you will see a “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” option right on the PayPal screen.

So if that’s the functionality you’re looking for, there’s no need to add any extra PayPal code just activate PayPal Express Checkout in your Shopify payment settings, and it will work automatically.

The thing I am unable to edit the checkout page, that is what I need to edit not the product page.
Any ideas how I can do that?

Shopify doesn’t allows changes on checkout page until and unless you’re using Shopify Plus plan.

Hello,

I have that option on already but still only paypal is the only checkout option, it didn’t happen automatically.

Okay I see, but for my goal of having paypal payments from customers who dont have paypal accounts. There is no way around it?

The possible reasons should be:

  1. Make sure your PayPal account is a Business account
  2. Confirm your account is verified and enabled for card payments
    If it still doesn’t show use Shopify Payments
    Go to > Shopify Admin > Settings > Payments > Add Payment Method > Shopify Payments
